We are pleased to invite you to the 16th annual Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center scientific retreat, which will be held from noon Friday, Nov. 15 through Saturday evening, Nov. 16 at the Hyatt Regency Suites in Palm Springs, CA.
We have what promises to be an exciting agenda. Our keynote speaker is our incoming director, Richard Van Etten, MD, PhD, who is internationally renowned for his groundbreaking research on chronic myeloid leukemia and other hematological malignancies.
As always, the goal of our retreat is to stimulate scientific discussion among cancer center members and to foster new collaborations and projects.
We welcome abstracts submitted by cancer center members, as well as non-members (e.g. residents, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students who have advanced to candidacy). Abstracts are not required for cancer center members to attend the retreat, however abstract presenters will receive priority.
If you are interested in presenting a lecture or a poster, please submit your abstract form by Sept. 15, 2013. If you are selected to present or host a poster, your room (assigned double occupancy) and meals will be covered by the cancer center. Notifications will be sent by Oct. 1, 2013.
Poster boards (4' x 4') will be provided along with clips and push pins.
Abstract submission is now closed.
Rates and reservations
The cancer center will pay for lodging (based on assigned double-occupancy rooms) and meals for cancer center members. Non-members (who are not presenters) are responsible for their own lodging and meals.
