Optical Biology Core Shared Resource Facility

The primary objectives of the Optical Biology Shared Resource Facility (OBC) are to:
- Provide state-of-the-art instrumentation and expertise in optical
methods to support basic science and clinical research projects
- Disseminate novel technological information to all researchers
- Foster the development and dissemination of new technology
- Develop clinical diagnostics and therapeutics through the continuing
partnership with the Beckman Laser Institute
- Offer technical instruction, service and support
- Interface with the Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics (LFD); the
Beckman Laser Institute LAMMP; the Center for Complex Biosystems; the Stem Cell
Research Center

- Fluorescence Liteime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM)
- FRET via FLIM
- Training and workshops to inform users of the capabilities and systems
available
