The Cancer Connection
The UC Irvine Cancer Connection is a patient advocacy group that provides information and resources to patients and their families as they undergo treatment and recovery. The Cancer Connection seeks to raise public awareness about important cancer issues, such as the need for cancer support services, education, and research. Our Cancer Connection patient advocates bring a non scientific viewpoint to the research process and communicate a collective unique patient perspective. The Cancer Connection members are chosen for their personal cancer experience, outstanding people skills and ability to handle issues in a quick and positive manner.
