The Breast Translational Working Group (Breast TWG) has 25 members from the following research groups: Growth Factors and Signaling, Onco-Imaging and Spectroscopy and Developmental Biology and Carcinogenesis. The Breast TWG is a component of the Onco-Imaging and Spectroscopy Research Program

• MRI and optical imaging for breast cancer diagnosis and prediction of treatment response
• Anti-progesterone for breast cancer prevention and treatment
• Breast cancer stem cells and chemo-resistance

Summary of Ongoing Clinical Trials and Research Projects

The Breast TWG members are the key personnel in four new clinical trials underway at Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and across the nation. The trials are four distinct projects that focus on breast cancer translational research. Group members also are involved in several innovative new projects in breast cancer that are being developed as applications for NCI grant funding.
