About Us About Clinical Trials Participating Organizations Trial Listing Study Coordinator SiteThe Southern California Chemoprevention Consortium (SCCC) is a member of the National Cancer Institute’s Consortia for early phase cancer prevention trials. The overall objective of the SCCC is to conduct early phase (Phase I and Phase II) clinical trials of cancer prevention agents using the robust infrastructure that has been developed over the past decade at the University of California, Irvine NCI-designated Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC). The main focus of these trials is to assess the cancer preventive potential of various compounds by evaluating their effects on biological or imaging endpoints.
SCCC is experienced with preventing cancer in the following areas:

- Liver
- Oral
- Pancreas
- Skin/Melanoma
