The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center hosted our Clinical Research Education and Awareness Week, April 8 – 12, 2013, at the UC Irvine Medical Center. 

The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinical Research Education and Awareness Week is designed to support our cancer research community and all disciplines in clinical care.  As part of the week’s education and awareness activities, emails are sent out highlighting how research impacts clinical practice as well as how clinical research benefits our patients.

The objectives of the week are:

• To increase awareness of clinical research at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UC Irvine community
• To illustrate how innovative research has impacted health care practices
• To demonstrate how research is integrated throughout the cancer center
• To strengthen skills for facilitating clinical research
• To celebrate the efforts of patients, staff, researchers and clinicians who participate in clinical research
